Carrying the theme “Conquering Barriers, Optimizing Care,” this year’s convention gathered cardiologists, internists, nurses and allied health professionals from across the country.

“This theme speaks directly to the realities weface in the Philippines today. While cardiovascular medicine continues to advance, many Filipinos still face obstacles to receiving timely and quality treatment, whether through limited access to specialists, unequal availability of diagnostics and therapies, gaps in continuity, or differences in healthcare capacity across localities,” said PHA President Dr. Walid Amil.

At the heart of all that we do is an underlying principle -lives depend on us, said Dr. Tiongco. We are fueled by our calling—that is rooted in our advocacies, purpose, and service to humanity,” he added.

Dr. Luigi Pierre Segundo said “that in a nation where disease continues to affect countless lives, we come together  not simply as specialists, but as one family of healers united in a common mission: To overcome every obstacle that stands between our patients and the best possible care.

There was strong participation from the PHA’s 16 Chapters and 27 training institutions.
